Job summary

Grandir UK’s Wandsworth Preschool in London is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join the team. You will help care for and inspire children, support their curiosity, and contribute to a welcoming nursery environment.

This casual worker position offers flexible working options, a salary of £12.71 per hour, and strong career progression with a supportive, child-focused setting that values equality and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in early years or childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive practice role model to ensure Grandir UK values are maintained.
• Supervise and support children at all times.
• Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 Practitioners.
• Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices.
• Maintain a welcoming environment for children and families.
• Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required.

What will you be doing

• Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
• Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
• Supervise and support children at all times
• Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
• Prepare andsupervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
• Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
• Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
• Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
• Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
