Job summary

Little Monkeys Day Nursery in Horsham, part of Grandir UK, is seeking a caring Early Years Assistant to support and inspire children and contribute to a positive learning environment. Joining a team focused on curiosity, development and safeguarding, you will work under Level 3 guidance and participate in activities and daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
• Ensure equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
• Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
• Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
• Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
• Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
• Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
• Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
