Job summary

Little Monkeys Day Nursery in Horsham, part of Grandir UK, is hiring a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant on a casual basis. The role involves supervising children, supporting activities, and upholding EYFS standards in a nurturing setting.

Applicants must be able to model Grandir UK values, maintain confidentiality, and comply with safeguarding requirements. A Level 3 practitioner may guide activity planning and delivery.

Qualifications

Our Little Monkeys Nursery in Horsham is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

What will you be doing

• Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
• Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
• Supervise and support children at all times
• Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
• Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
• Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
• Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
• Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
• Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
