Job summary

Belfast Central Mission is seeking a Casual Support Worker at Tafelta Rise, Magherafelt BT45 6JF. The role supports young people aged 16–21 and involves helping with daily living skills, accessing services and navigating adulthood.

You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness in communal areas and meet health and safety standards. A UK driving licence and NISCC registration (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (C or above) including English and Maths with relevant experience required.
• Degree in Social Work / Teaching / Youth Work preferred or NVQ Level 3 in Social Care with experience.
• NISCC registration or willingness to obtain within six months; valid UK work status.

Responsibilities

• Listen to young people to identify needs and facilitate access to support services.
• Support with health, hygiene, budgeting, housing and general life skills.
• Work with a team to maintain cleanliness and health/safety in communal areas.

Education

GCSEs (C or above) including English and Maths

Degree in Social Work/Teaching/Youth Work

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Child/Social Care

Tools

UK driving licence

Mobility to transport service users

Right to Work in UK
