Action for Children is seeking a Housing Support Worker on a casual contract in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. The role focuses on providing emotional, social and practical support to young people aged 16-21, helping them develop independent living skills and navigate community resources.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to care plans, participating in 1-2-1 sessions, and promoting participation and communication within the service.

Formación

• Diploma Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification required.
• Experience of working with vulnerable young people aged 16-21 in a formal setting.
• Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or willingness to register.
• Good IT skills.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Establishing relationships and links within the community to assist our young people and their families.
• Assisting the Residential Workers to support the young people.
• Contributing to care plans, support plans and risk assessments.
• Carrying out 1-2-1 work with the young people to help them with cooking, budgeting and looking for jobs etc. and attending appointments with them.

Educación

Diploma Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification

NISCC Registration or willingness to register
