Job summary

Arena Racing Company at Wolverhampton Racecourse is seeking a Casual Steward to deliver friendly customer service and manage entry points across race days. You will scan tickets, direct guests and assist with crowd flow and parking to ensure a smooth guest experience.

The role offers flexible hours, training opportunities, and entry vouchers after six months of service. ARC emphasizes a diverse, inclusive workplace and professional conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service throughout the event.
• Checking or scanning tickets at designated entrances.
• Supporting customer-facing gate and barrier positions.
• Directing guests to entrances, exits, viewing areas, hospitality facilities and other parts of the racecourse.
• Answering questions about the racecourse, the event and available facilities.
• Assisting with the orderly movement of guests through entrances, queues and public areas.
• Supporting car parking operations by directing vehicles to designated parking areas within the racecourse.
• Monitoring customer-facing areas and reporting concerns to the Safety Officer or Duty Manager.
• Following instructions provided during event briefings.
• Supporting colleagues in other customer-service areas when required.
• Representing Wolverhampton Racecourse and Arena Racing Company professionally at all times.
