Job summary

Securitas is hiring a Casual Security Officer in Bushmills (BT57 and Londonderry BT47) in Northern Ireland. The role offers flexible days, nights and weekends with comprehensive training and benefits.

You’ll help keep people and property safe while delivering excellent customer service and working on a premium site. This is an exciting entry into a security career with opportunities for growth, supported by a strong team, values, and dedicated mentorship.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence required.
• Driving licence required.
• Physically fit for site patrols.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
• Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties as detailed.
• Ensure equipment and logbooks are maintained per Instructions.
• Issue passes to visitors/contractors and handle lost property.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.

• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
