Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Casual Mobile Security Officer in Edinburgh. You will deliver mobile security services, protect people and property, and provide exceptional customer service. Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends is required, with training and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence is required.
• Manual Driving Licence.
• Right to work in UK with 5-year history.
• Mobile patrol experience is preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to work days, nights and weekends.
• English proficiency in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mobile security services including patrols, access control, alarms, and escorts.
• Maintain professional conduct with clients, staff and colleagues.
• Follow Team Leaders' instructions and collaborate with team.
• Wear and display SIA licence and ID on duty.
• Perform vehicle handovers and checks at shift start/end.
• Adhere to road rules and drive with due care.
• Manage keys following approved processes.
• Conduct site risk assessments on arrival at sites.
• Escalate incidents properly and report with photos where applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Mobile Security Services: Deliver a range of mobile security services including locks, unlocks, internal and external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain professional, polite, and helpful attitude towards clients, their staff, and Securitas colleagues at all times.
• Team Direction: Follow instructions from Team Leaders and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Uniform and Identification: Always wear the company uniform, visibly displaying the SIA licence and security ID card.
• Vehicle Management: Complete vehicle handovers and checks at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring the security of the company vehicle and equipment.
• Safe Driving: Abide by road rules (Highway Code), drive with due care and attention, and maintain the company’s reputation.
• Key Management: Adhere to correct key management processes when handling keys.
• Assignment Completion: Follow site assignment instructions and conduct dynamic risk assessments upon arrival at client sites.
• Incident Escalation: Follow proper escalation processes for incidents, break-ins, health and safety issues, and road traffic accidents.
• Reporting: Use GRS/SMP correctly, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting, supported by photos where applicable.
