Job summary

Sandcross Primary School in Reigate is seeking a reliable Casual Premises Support Assistant to join the Premises Manager. The role is practical, no trade skills required, focusing on keeping the school clean, tidy and well presented.

You will help with painting, moving resources, cleaning, setting up rooms for events, and basic outdoor tasks. The role offers induction and training, with hours arranged as needed and access to a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Aged 16 or over and past minimum school leaving age.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions carefully.
• Happy to carry out practical work and work as part of a team.
• Willing to learn, ask questions and follow health and safety guidance.
• Able to treat pupils, staff and visitors respectfully and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces and carrying out painting and decorating using approved materials.
• Moving furniture, equipment and deliveries around the school.
• Cleaning windows and internal glass from ground level.
• Setting up rooms and furniture for school events and activities.
• Sweeping, mopping, litter picking and tidying shared areas.
• Assisting with general classroom and outdoor cleaning duties.
