Job summary

Headcorn Primary School is seeking an energetic Premises Assistant to join our team for four hours a day, 2pm–6pm, Monday to Friday on a temporary basis for three months starting 1 September 2026.

The role involves assisting with maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe working environment, and the ability to work alone with DIY experience. Salary: Kent Range A, £13.56 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and DIY.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Reliable and adaptable for temporary hours.
• Willingness to perform site maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and security of school premises and site.
• Help maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow directions from Premises Manager and School Business Manager.
