Job summary

The Millennium Hotel Glasgow, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK, is seeking a Casual Night Porter to deliver porterage, lounge and room service, and security during the night. The role involves room setup, guest interaction, and assisting with Night Auditor tasks as needed.

Key qualifications include prior hotel experience, night shift capability, strong communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with front office systems such as Opera Cloud.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality hotel.
• Night shift experience.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience using Opera Cloud or a Front Office system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient service to guests at all times, following company policies.
• Take on Night Auditor tasks as required when the Night Manager is occupied.
• Arrange collection and storage of guest luggage and maintain public areas cleanliness during the night.
• Provide general security and back-up procedures, inform Night Manager of issues.
• Execute cash up procedures accurately.
• Follow check-in/check-out policy for late arrivals or early departures.
• Answer phone at night, take breakfast orders, and provide lounge/room service billed to guest accounts.
• Ensure restaurant is set up and prepared for breakfast.
