Job summary

Securitas in Wakefield is hiring a Relief Mobile Patrol Officer. You will perform a range of mobile security tasks, including patrols, lock/unlock duties, and alarm responses, while ensuring client and property safety.

The role requires an SIA licence, a valid manual driving licence, and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Training, progression, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required.
• Manual driving licence is required.
• Experience in mobile patrols is preferred but not essential.
• Strong English communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile security services including locks/unlocks and patrols both inside and outside.
• Handle alarm responses and vacant property inspections.
• Escort services as needed and maintain professional conduct with clients and colleagues.
• Complete vehicle handovers and checks at shift start and end.
• Drive company vehicle in compliance with Highway Code and safety rules.
• Uphold the company’s brand and do not bring it into disrepute.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 12 hours per week - 12 hours shifts - day shift & night shift.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Provides a variety of mobile security services including but not limited to locks, unlocks, patrols both external and internal, alarm response, vacant property inspections, escort services etc.
• Remaining professional, polite and helpful to clients, client’s staff and Securitas colleagues at all times.
• Taking direction from the Team Leaders.
• Always wears the company uniform. Including visually always displaying SIA license and security ID card.
• Complete vehicle handovers and checks at the beginning and end of shift.
• Whist driving the company vehicle abides by the rules of the road, (Highway code) and always drives with due care and attention, being courteous to other road users, and does not bring the company name or brand into disrepute.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence.
• Manual Driving Licence.
• Mobile patrol officer experience is preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit for patrolling of site.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
