South Failsworth Primary School is seeking a Casual Midday Supervisor to support children at lunchtime. The role is ad hoc to cover staff illness with potential for a permanent position in the future.

The post offers an hourly rate of £12.77 and is casual, running between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Start date is as soon as possible with a closing date of Friday 2 October 2026; interviews are to be confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the dinner hall, playground and classrooms during wet weather
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Engage children in a range of play activities
• Be a positive role model and promote the school’s values
• Support safe behaviour and ensure lunchtimes are positive experiences

South Failsworth Primary School are seeking to appoint a Casual Midday Supervisor to support our children at lunchtime. They will be needed on an adhoc basis to cover staff illness and training. This could lead to a permanent position.

Hourly Rate: £12.77

Contract: Casual between 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Closing Date: Friday 2 October 2026

You will:

• Supervise the children in the dinner hall, playground and classrooms during wet weather
• Be able to develop and maintain positive relationships
• Enjoy engaging children in a range of play activities
• Be a positive role model, following the school’s mission statement, inspiring and creating lifelong learners
• Have a positive approach to behaviour management and help to ensure lunchtimes remain a safe and positive experience for all children.
