Job summary

The Glasgow Marriott Hotel in Glasgow is seeking a reliable Casual Housekeeper to join our friendly team. You will clean guest rooms, service bathrooms, and keep public areas to our brand standards, with mid-week daytime shifts available.

This casual contract offers flexible hours, competitive hourly pay, free meals on duty, and opportunities for training and progression within a global hotel brand. Training will be provided to support high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hotel experience is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to brand standards
• Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish amenities
• Vacuum, dust, polish, and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or lost property
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to meet daily targets

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Housekeeperto join our team. This is a flexible role, ideal for someone available during mid-week daytime shifts, with additional hours available based on business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to brand standards
• Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish amenities
• Vacuum, dust, polish, and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or lost property
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to meet daily targets

What We’re Looking For

Additional Information

This role involves physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Full training will be provided.
