Job summary

Chelmsford City Council is seeking a Casual Group Exercise Instructor to deliver high-energy classes across our four leisure centres in Chelmsford and South Woodham Ferrers. You will join a friendly team focused on delivering excellent customer service and helping to grow class attendance.

The role requires an Exercise to Music qualification and/or Gym Instructor Level 2, plus related class qualifications (Les Mills, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Box Fit, Group Cycle, Aqua, etc.).

We are looking for passionate and driven individuals to deliver high quality and high energy Group Exercise classes across our four leisure centres based in Chelmsford and South Woodham Ferrers. The successful candidate will join our vibrant team in delivering the high level of customer service our users expect, inspiring participants, supporting growing class attendance and playing a key part in retaining customers.

The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, be confident, outgoing and ideally hold a current Exercise to Music qualification and/or Gym Instructor Level 2. Applicants must hold a current related class qualification for example Les Mills Programmes, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Box Fit, Group Cycle, Aqua etc.

This position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 5.30am to 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
