Walsall Council is seeking Casual Food Preparation Assistants to help in the production and delivery of school meals across the borough. You will perform general kitchen duties including cleaning equipment, with a friendly, adaptable approach.
The role is non-contractual, hours flexible between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday, term-time. Applicants should hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate; a pre-employment health questionnaire may be required, and an enhanced DBS check
We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable team members to assist in the production and delivery of school meals across the borough. Successful candidates will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment. In return, we offer an excellent pay rate, uniform and access to training.

The casual food preparation assistant post is of a non-contractual basis and work will be allocated on an ‘as and when needed’ basis, to cover annual leave and sickness, therefore hours are not guaranteed.
In line with FSA guidance and due to the identifiable health and safety risks involved, there is a requirement to undertake a pre-employment health questionnaire prior to commencing kitchen duties.
