Job summary

Serco Limited, on behalf of The Maidstone Leisure Trust, is seeking an Events Assistant in Maidstone. The role involves supporting event delivery, ensuring safe, well-organised and welcoming experiences for visitors, primarily during evenings, weekends and late nights.

The position offers a part-time casual contract and a salary of £15 per hour plus excellent benefits. Full training will be provided, and no previous experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare events, ensuring equipment and spaces are ready in good time.

• Follow Safety Management System (SMS) processes for safe operations.
• Assist with stewarding duties to support smooth event delivery.
• Create a welcoming environment for visitors and ensure a positive experience at every event.

Your work will help ensure every event is safe, well organised and welcoming, contributing to experiences that enrich local lives and help impact a better future

What you'll do as an Events Assistant

• Support the set-up and preparation of events, ensuring all equipment and spaces are ready in good time.
• Uphold company Health and Safety Policy and comply with all relevant safety legislation.
• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout event areas.
• Follow processes outlined in the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure consistent and safe operations.
• Assist with stewarding duties when required to support smooth event delivery.
• Help create a welcoming environment for visitors, ensuring a positive experience at every event.
