Zusammenfassung

Bury College is seeking experienced Education Support Workers to join its team on a casual basis. The role provides in-class support to learners with additional needs and in/out of class assistance to enable participation and safety.

Responsibilities include facilitating inclusive behaviour, ensuring adjustments, supporting learners with Learning Difficulties/Disabilities, and contributing to individual development plans alongside teaching staff.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to recognise and respond to individual needs, liaising with teaching and support staff to ensure targeted support.
• Experience of working with young people with Additional Learning Support needs.
• A recognised qualification in support work (or equivalent certification) is essential.
• A good level of education with a minimum A*-C in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Aufgaben

• Provide in-class support to learners to enable participation and communication.
• Offer in/out of class support for students with mobility and sensory impairments, including personal care where required.
• Facilitate inclusion by supporting appropriate behaviour and ensuring reasonable adjustments.
• Support groups/individual learners with identified Learning Difficulties/Disabilities.
• Contribute to the development of support strategies to promote independence.
