Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Shunter Driver for casual shifts in Bridgwater. You will manage trailers in the yard, move loads between park and production areas, and support site operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates hold UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC, and a Digital Tachograph, with customer service orientation and the ability to work to deadlines in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve empty trailers from the trailer park and position them as required.
• Transport loaded and empty tanks between the trailer park and production areas to support operational flow.

• Conduct thorough daily vehicle safety inspections using the company-issued mobile device to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance.
• Maintain constant communication with the transport team, providing updates on your progress and ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously enhancing your skills and expertise.
