Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in Davidstow is seeking a professional LGV1 driver to join the team on a Monday-to-Friday days shift, delivering powder to our Heathfield warehouse.

You will load, secure, and perform daily safety checks, while staying in touch with the transport team to meet customer expectations. Training and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 CE Driving Licence.

About The Role

• Operate a curtain side trailer or LST, collecting powder from our customer site in Davidstow and transporting it safely and efficiently to our warehouse in Heathfield.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 1 CE Driving Licence.
• Possess a current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and representing the business professionally.
• Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and delivery schedules.
• Have a confident, professional and courteous manner, with a strong team-focused approach.
• Possess good geographic knowledge and route planning awareness.
• Be flexible, reliable and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to adapt to operational requirements.
