Job summary

St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi Academy Trust in Hinckley area schools is seeking reliable Casual Catering Staff to cover sickness and other staffing needs across the area. You will help prepare, serve, and clear meals while upholding hygiene and customer service standards.

No extensive catering experience is required as training is provided, but a positive, punctual and team‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Good customer service and team-working mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of food and beverages.
• Supporting basic cooking activities under supervision.
• Serving and transporting meals.
• Setting up and clearing dining areas, service points, equipment, and furniture.
• Washing crockery, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen, dining areas, and associated facilities.
• Assisting with the movement and arrangement of dining furniture.
• Undertaking other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Catering supervisor/Manager
• Have a positive and flexible approach to work.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Be committed to providing excellent customer service.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

We are seeking reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Casual Catering Staff to provide cover for staff sickness, absence and other operational requirements across schools in Hinckley and the surrounding areas This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work while making a positive contribution to pupils' school experience.
