Job summary

St Nicholas Hospice Care in West Suffolk is seeking Catering Assistants on a bank contract to join our established Catering Department at the Hospice site.

Undertake basic preparation of food and beverages to agreed standards, support kitchen volunteers, operate and clean barista coffee machine, prepare and serve meals in the Bistro, assist with catering functions, and check expiry dates of stock in kitchen.

• Preparation & service of meals in the Bistro, including breakfasts, paninis, toasted sandwiches and other hot food

• Checking expiry dates of stock in kitchen.

St Nicholas Hospice Care is a successful charity serving the local area of West Suffolk and Thetford. Every year we support nearly 2,000 local people, delivering care across multiple settings. Our services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too, and include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help. We are seeking Catering Assistants to join our established Catering Department at the Hospice site on a bank contract basis. The successful candidates will contribute to the production of a high quality catering service to meet the changing needs of the organisation whilst complying with health and hygiene regulations.
