Job summary

Rolls-Royce is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer – Casting Technical Specialist based at the High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC) in Ansty. This onsite staff role focuses on the single crystal investment casting process and related manufacturing equipment and methods.

The successful candidate will drive best practice, support cross-functional teams, and collaborate with domestic Rolls-Royce foundries to initiate projects that improve capability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with strong understanding of single crystal investment casting.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering and component engineering principles.
• Knowledge of turbine components and casting processes.
• Strong problem solving, project management, change control and budgetary skills.
• Experience in research and/or production manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment and process methods used at the HTRC.
• Drive best practice and continuous improvement in the area.
• Support and liaise with operational teams ensuring safe, reliable equipment.
• Build links with Rolls-Royce foundries to scope projects for HTRC.
