Job summary

Farm Boy is seeking a team member to deliver a welcoming, customer-first shopping experience. You will assist customers, process purchases, and apply product knowledge at the checkout while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role supports store operations, handles alcohol responsibly at eligible locations, and requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail experience is an asset, with English fluency as a must and French a plus.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for delivering engaging customer service.
• Retail experience preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Where alcohol is sold: 18+ and Smart Serve certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and deliver quality results.
• Team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service aligned with Farm Boy standards.
• Greet and assist customers at checkout, process purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Share product knowledge and assist customers with questions and information.
• Learn product codes to ensure timely checkout service and maintain payment accuracy.
• Handle all cash and tender transactions, including till balancing.
• Assist with store operations, including answering phone calls.
• Support alcohol sales where applicable with Smart Serve certification.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized, including storefront and backroom spaces.
