Job summary

Kroo Bank Ltd. seeks a Cash Reconciliation Specialist to manage daily reconciliations across ledgers and bank statements, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with Finance and Payments Operations to tighten cash controls.

You will support month-end close and help evolve automated reconciliation capabilities. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience in high-volume reconciliation environments within a regulatory financial services context.

Qualifications

• Experience performing cash reconciliations across multiple accounts and cash books with strong supporting evidence.
• Ability to investigate cash breaks, identify root causes, and drive resolution with Finance and external parties.
• Experience handling high-volume transaction data with attention to detail under time pressure.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups, templates, exception reporting.
• Maintain audit trails, documentation, and control checklists for audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations across internal cash ledgers and external bank statements, ensuring completeness and sign-off.
• Reconcile payment scheme and settlement accounts, investigate variances and ensure accurate posting.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve cash breaks with clear audit trails.
• Collaborate with Payments Operations and Finance to resolve exceptions and escalate high-risk items.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and evidence for Financial Control reviews.
• Maintain and improve reconciliation processes, templates, and SOPs.
• Assist in developing automated reconciliation capabilities, including data mapping and exception reporting.
• Use Excel/data tools to analyze transaction-level data and identify patterns.
• Liaise with banks, payment partners, and scheme providers to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure reconciliations and documentation are audit-ready.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and Operations.
