Job summary

Kroo Bank in London is seeking a skilled Cash Reconciliations Specialist to manage reconciliations across ledgers and bank statements, investigate variances, and support automation and controls. The role requires strong Excel and data analysis skills and experience in banking/fintech environments.

You will work in a hybrid model with Payments, Finance and Operations, contributing to month-end close, process improvements, and audit-ready documentation, while ensuring accuracy and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Degree level education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in cash reconciliations, ideally in banking/fintech
• Strong technical understanding of reconciliation processes and data sources
• Experience with automation or exception-based reconciliations is beneficial
• Progress toward accounting qualifications beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations across internal cash ledgers and external bank statements
• Reconcile payment scheme and settlement accounts and investigate variances
• Identify, investigate, and resolve cash breaks with clear audit trails
• Collaborate with Payments, Operations and Finance to resolve exceptions
• Support month-end close with complete reconciliations and evidence for review
• Improve reconciliation processes, templates, and controls
• Assist development of automated reconciliation capability and data mapping
• Use Excel and data tools to analyse transaction-level data for insights
• Liaise with banks and partners to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure documentation meets policy and is audit-ready
• Contribute to end-to-end cash control improvements
