Job summary

Safran Actuation UK is seeking a commercially minded Cash Accountant to drive cash reporting, forecasting and analysis across the business. You will partner with Finance, Supply Chain and Shared Services to optimise cash flow and influence financial performance, while advancing your expertise within a supportive team.

You will own cash reporting, budgeting and FP&A activities, contributing to strategic plans and improving financial processes in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Ability to digest and manipulate complex data sets for reporting.
• Experience in FP&A or management accounting within manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Prioritisation and self-motivation in a global/matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of cash reporting, bank reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting.
• Analyse monthly financial performance and identify trends and variances.
• Lead weekly/ monthly forecasts, annual budgets and long-term plans.
• Consolidate sales and margin reporting across value streams.
• Develop and maintain reporting templates for Finance and stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity with strong controls and governance.
• Investigate data issues and implement improvements.
• Provide meaningful FP&A analysis for informed decisions.
• Collaborate with Value Stream Finance, Supply Chain and Shared Services to understand cash movements and FX exposure.
• Support FP&A activities and continuous improvement in Finance.
