Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a busy finance team on a temporary basis. The role, office-based on the Derby/Nottingham border, focuses on cash collection and managing customer accounts.

You will chase overdue invoices, monitor aged debt, and liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to resolve issues. The contract is 3–6 months, with potential for extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong ability to chase overdue payments and negotiate with customers.
• Proficient with Excel; comfortable with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated portfolio of customer accounts.
• Monitor aged debt and prioritise outstanding balances.
• Chase overdue invoices by phone, email and written correspondence.
• Communicate regularly with customers to secure payment.
• Investigate and resolve invoice, pricing and payment queries.
