  • Workload, resource and rota management: prioritising, allocating and monitoring workloads, alongside annual leave and rota planning to maintain service delivery.
  • Case-file quality and compliance: monitoring file deficiencies and trends, reporting issues, ensuring documentation meets the National File Standard and improving file quality.
  • Coordinating outputs including typed witness statements, interview summaries, 999 transcripts, other audio transcription and postal charge requisitions.
  • Advice, governance and procedural assurance: providing guidance to staff, officers and partner agencies on systems, processes and procedures.

Job Description

To provide first line leadership, support and coordination to Case Progression and Evidential Text colleagues within the Case Management Unit. The successful candidate will also contribute to the overarching objective of improving file quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. First line leadership and staff management - providing day-to-day supervision and support, including briefings, one-to-ones, team meetings, wellbeing, development, performance and conduct matters.
  2. Workload, resource and rota management - assessing, prioritising, allocating and monitoring workloads, alongside annual leave and rota planning to maintain service delivery.
  3. Case-file quality and compliance - monitoring file deficiencies and trends, reporting issues to the CMU Manager, ensuring documentation meets the National File Standard and supporting the overall improvement of file quality.
  4. Coordinating key outputs including typed witness statements, interview summaries, 999 transcripts, other audio transcription and postal charge requisitions.
  5. Advice, governance and procedural assurance - providing guidance to staff, officers and partner agencies on systems, processes and procedures
