Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a high-profile organisation to recruit a Case Officer. This role, based in Sunderland, offers an immediate start on a short-term 4-week contract, with hybrid working and a 35-hour week.

The Case Officer will provide strategic HR guidance, manage 30–35 cases, and may travel to meet local staff. Strong HR legislation knowledge and advising colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong understanding of HR legislation.
• Experience advising colleagues in HR context.
• Healthcare or public sector background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR advice to members and staff in line with current legislation and best practices.
• Manage 30–35 cases and take ownership from an HR and ER perspective.
• Potentially travel to meet local employees and members.
• Record and report notes from meetings regarding advised actions.

This is an extremely varied role . Monday- Friday. 35 hours hours a week.

What the Case Officer will be doing

The ideal Case Officer will be responsible for

• Providing strategic HR advice to members and staff in accordance to the latest legislation and best practice
• Manage between 30-35 cases and take ownership of the cases from an HR and ER prospective
• Potentially travelling to meet local employees and members
• Record and report notes from meetings in relation to advice provided

What the successful Case Officer will bring to the team

This role is suitable for someone who has

• Who has excellent written and verbal skills
• Has a good proficiency in relation to Microsoft packages
• Has a strong understanding of HR legislation
• Has experience of advising colleagues
• Ideally have a background in health care or public sector
