The ideal candidate will be IT literate, hold a Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry, and be confident delivering training to groups. A full, clean driving licence is essential, with progression towards PTLLS/AET encouraged by the employer.

Qualifications

• IT literacy is required.
• Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry required.
• Experience delivering vocational training desirable.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET.
• Solid carpentry competency required.
• Ability to deliver training/workshops to groups.
• Full, clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 2 Carpentry in a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners’ needs.
