KM Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a Carpentry Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) to join a centre-based role in Norfolk. The position is full-time and permanent with a salary up to £35,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The ideal candidate will be IT literate, hold a Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry, and be confident delivering training to groups. A full, clean driving licence is essential, with progression towards PTLLS/AET encouraged by the employer.

Essential Criteria

• Must be IT Literate.
• Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry.
• Experience of delivering vocational training, or on-the-job training to colleagues/Apprentices, is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET – fully funded and supported by employer.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Carpentry.
• Must be confident to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Duties include

• Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 2 vocational qualification in Carpentry within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating,engaging and develop learners’skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learnersrelating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
