Job summary

REASEHEATH COLLEGE in Nantwich, ENG, GB is seeking a Technical Trainer and Coach (Tutor/Assessor Carpentry & Joinery) for a permanent, on-site role. The position focuses on delivering high-quality apprenticeship training and supporting learners toward industry qualifications.

The role requires substantial Carpentry experience and a willingness to work towards teaching/assessor qualifications. You will engage with employers, supervise practical activities and ensure safe, compliant delivery

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant vocational qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or Construction.
• Demonstrate substantial industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery.
• Be willing to work towards a recognised teaching/assessor qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Carpentry and Joinery training in line with standards and college procedures.
• Lead apprentices through practical activities to enhance learning and competence.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and assessment including workplace visits.
• Recruit apprentices, conduct inductions, initial assessments and Skills Scans.
• Monitor progress through reviews and e-portfolio records to track learning.
• Collaborate with employers to maximise apprenticeship opportunities and ensure safety.
