The role requires Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery and an assessor qualification (TAQA/CAVA/A1), with strong communication and organisation skills. The package includes a Teachers' Pension, 38 days holiday, college closure days, healthcare cash plan, wellbeing

Qualifications

• Carpentry & Joinery background essential.
• Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery qualification or equivalent experience.
• Up-to-date industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess Carpentry & Joinery apprentices in the workplace.
• Carry out apprentice progress reviews and provide tailored learner support.
• Set SMART targets and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners with EPA Gateway preparation.
• Liaise with employers, apprentices and external bodies.
• Maintain accurate learner records using digital platforms and e-portfolios such as OneFile.
• Ensure assessment activity meets apprenticeship standards, awarding body requirements and internal quality procedures.
• Work closely with the Deputy Head of Faculty - Construction Trades & Heritage.
