Job summary

Squared is seeking a Maintenance Officer – Multi-Skilled with a carpentry bias to service our housing stock in Luton and surrounding areas. You will perform day-to-day repairs, void works and planned maintenance, prioritising safety, quality and customer service.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a small in-house team, delivering high workmanship and accurate records on mobile devices. You should have proven carpentry skills and experience across plastering, tiling, plumbing and

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled tradesperson with strong carpentry skills.
• Experience in a range of maintenance trades including plastering, tiling, plumbing, flooring repairs, painting and decorating.
• Hold relevant work-based certifications, including Health & Safety training.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence and are confident driving a van.
• Knowledge of damp, mould and building maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance with a focus on carpentry and joinery.
• Install, repair and maintain doors, kitchens, flooring, locks, skirting boards, architraves and other carpentry elements.
• Undertake multi-trade repairs including plastering, tiling, painting and decorating, and basic plumbing.
• Diagnose and resolve building defects efficiently and effectively.
• Complete responsive repairs, void property works and planned maintenance.
• Carry out damp and mould treatments and report findings to help identify long-term solutions.
• Support property inspections and assist with scheduling repair works.
• Deliver high standards of customer service while working in customers' homes.
• Record completed works accurately using mobile devices and maintenance systems.
• Work safely and in line with health and safety legislation, company policies and risk assessments.
