Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Social Housing Carpenter Multi to service properties across Bromley. This temporary-to-permanent role offers a pathway to a permanent position after a 3-month probation, with a Company van and fuel card provided.

You will handle responsive carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, and general maintenance in social housing, often in occupied homes, while upholding high workmanship and professional resident-facing service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Carpenter Multi, ideally with a qualification.
• Experience in social housing or domestic properties.
• Good knowledge of general property repairs and maintenance.
• Professional attitude and good communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance in social housing.

We are currently looking for an experienced Social Housing Carpenter Multi to join our team, covering properties across the Bromley.

This is a temporary-to-permanent position, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role following a successful 3-month probationary period.

The Role

As a Carpenter Multi, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of responsive repairs and maintenance works within social housing properties. You will need to be confident working independently, managing your own workload and delivering a high standard of workmanship.

Typical duties may include:

• Carpentry and joinery repairs
• Basic plumbing
• Basic plastering
• Tiling
• Painting and decorating
• General maintenance and remedial works
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Working within occupied social housing properties
• Providing a professional and courteous service to residents
• Completing jobs to a high standard and within agreed timescales

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Carpenter Multi (qualification ideally)
• Experience working within social housing or domestic properties
• Good knowledge of general property repairs and maintenance
• A professional attitude and good communication skills
• The ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• A full UK driving licence
• Your own reliable hand tools
