Job summary

Insignis in the United Kingdom is recruiting an experienced Carpenter-Multi to join reactive maintenance teams on a full-time basis. You'll work across residential housing projects, performing 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, installing windows and doors, UPVC servicing, locksmithing, fencing, and joinery tasks while travelling between sites.

A company van and fuel card are provided, plus tools allowance, pension, life cover, and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential housing carpentry roles.
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or 5+ years proven carpentry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Install internal and external doors, windows and frames.
• UPVC servicing and installation.
• Locksmithing and entry techniques as required.
• Operate on-site fencing, posts, and panels.
• Kitchen fitting and minor joinery.
• Paint, decorate, patch plaster, basic plumbing.

Job description

A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company are looking to Recruit an experienced Carpenter-Multi on a full time permanent basis to join their Reactive Maintenance Teams. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road they will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.
• Painting, Decorating, Patch Plastering, Basic Plumbing

What you'll need:

• You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.
• Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
