Job summary

Insignis is seeking an experienced Carpenter-Multi to join the Empty Homes Team in Basingstoke. The role is full-time and involves 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, installing windows, doors and frames, and UPVC servicing.

You will need NVQ2 or 5 years' proven carpentry experience, a valid UK driving licence, and willingness to travel. A company van and fuel card are provided, along with pension, life cover and other benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent proven experience.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive a company van.
• Experience in residential/housing carpentry preferred.
• Strong 1st and 2nd fix carpentry capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry tasks.
• Install windows, doors and frames (internal and external).
• Service and install UPVC components.
• Carry out locksmithing tasks including entry techniques.
• Repair fire doors and frames, fire-rated components.
• Undertake fire stopping carpentry in line with regs.

Job description

A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company are looking to Recruit an experienced Carpenter-Multi on a full time permanent basis to join their Empty Homes Team In Basingstoke. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road they will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• Repair fire doors, frames, and other fire-rated components
• Undertake fire stopping carpentry works in accordance with regulations

What you’ll need:

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van
