Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is recruiting an experienced Carpenter Multi to join the Property Team in our Newbury, Thatcham & Reading locality. You will undertake 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, install windows and doors, service UPVC, locksmithing, fencing and kitchen work, with additional general maintenance tasks.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 carpentry or 5 years' carpentry experience, strong health and safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry tasks.
• Install windows, doors and door frames (internal and external).
• Carry out UPVC servicing and installation; locksmithing and entry via snap/drill/pick.
• Fit and maintain fencing, kitchen building, and minor joinery.
• Support general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating.

We're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team in our Newbury, Thatcham & Reading locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you’ll do:

• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.
• Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks

What you’ll need:

• You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home the Company Van.
