Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking skilled carpenters for permanent, full-time positions. The role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week and experience in residential or commercial carpentry. Travel may be required, with travel costs covered by the employer.

The roles are permanent, full-time employment with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week guaranteed.

The successful candidates must have at least 2 years of carpentry experience, residential or commercial. The role may require you to travel out of town from time to time; the employer will pay for the travel costs.

You must have at least 2 contactable references, a clean criminal record and a driver's license.

Job Description Summary:

  • Have excellent carpentry trade skills, experience, and knowledge.
  • A good level of understanding and ability to work of plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation.
  • May order or select timbers and materials and prepare layouts.
  • Fitting, cutting, laminating, and shaping different types of construction materials.
  • Loading and unloading building materials, machinery, and tools and distributing them to construction or road sites.
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete/ other aggregate mixtures, using portable cement/ aggregate mixers.
