Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is recruiting for an experienced Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team in Dorset (Blandford, Gillingham, Shaftesbury). You’ll be out on site repairing housing stock, using 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, installing windows and doors, and handling UPVC servicing.

You’ll need NVQ Level 2 or 5 years’ proven carpentry experience, a strong health and safety mindset, and a valid driving licence to operate a company van.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar residential/housing role with carpentry proficiency.
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or 5+ years proven carpentry experience.
• Strong health and safety mindset and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in properties as part of Repairs Team.
• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Install windows, doors and frames (internal and external).
• UPVC servicing and installation.
• Locksmithing and entry methods including drilling and picking.
• Fit fencing, kitchen building and basic joinery.
• General maintenance including plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating.

Salary: £34,944.00 - £38,992.00 Per year

We're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team in our Dorset (Blandford, Gillingham, Shaftesbury) locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

• As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of our Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demands.
• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.
• Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks

What you'll need:

• You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!
• Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
