Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network in Ayr is seeking a Personal Assistant / Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a friendly non-verbal 16-year-old living in the Ayr area. The role involves helping her enjoy community activities, maintain independence, and stay safe, with driving and flexibility required.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, and be comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility, including helping with washing,

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• One-to-one support for a non-verbal 16-year-old with epilepsy, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness to assist with walking to reduce fall risk.
• Ability to provide personal care (washing, getting changed, eating and drinking).
• References and PVG scheme involvement may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Support participation in community activities and outings.
• Help with mobility and safety, including assisting with walking.
• Document needs and maintain records as required.
