Job summary

Choices and Rights Disability Coalition is facilitating a Personal Assistant role for a young boy in the HU5 area. The PA will help with everyday care, accompany him on activities and ensure a safe, supportive environment. The family emphasises flexible hours and a caring, reliable approach.

The role requires empathy, patience and a willingness to engage in activities the child enjoys, such as driving, walks, and games. A DBS check will be completed prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Makaton sign language to support communication.
• Full driving licence preferred to enable transport.
• DBS check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance to a 12-year-old with complex needs in HU5.
• Ensure safety and supervise at all times.
• Support engagement in activities like walks, car journeys, swimming, gaming and bowling.
