Job summary

Choices and Rights Disability Coalition is seeking a patient Personal Assistant in Hull to support an 8-year-old boy with Smith Magenis syndrome, Autism and ADHD. The role focuses on safe community access, companionship, and engaging activities.

Driving is essential; you will use a car, and mileage is covered. Hours are 5–12 per week, with some evenings and weekends. A DBS check will be arranged and funded. Location: HU8 area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN/autism.
• Patience and creativity in activities.
• Proactive in finding new activities and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support with community access (parks, library, swimming).
• Provide companionship and engage in educational or sensory activities.
• Ensure safety in busy environments and assist with personal care routines.
• Encourage communication and social skills.
