Job summary

Care South in Poole is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Elizabeth House Residential Home. Join a friendly team to support the chef with meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met and dining experiences are enjoyable.

Flexibility to work shifts between 08:00 and 18:30, 28 hours per week, including alternate weekends. Competitive hourly rate of £12.85, training provided, and a caring, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Happy and confident working within a busy kitchen environment.
• Care or catering experience is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to support residents during mealtimes.
• Caring and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef and kitchen team with basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
• Following all food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Supporting residents to enjoy their dining experience with every meal.
• Ensuring kitchen and dining room areas are kept clean and hygienic.
• Washing cooking appliances and crockery – sanitising all food preparation areas.
