Care South is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team in a busy care setting near Bournemouth. The role focuses on preparation, safety, and helping residents enjoy meals in a warm environment.

You will work 40 hours per week over 3 days, including alternating weekends, with shifts from 8:00 to 19:00. The position offers competitive pay (£12.85 per hour) and onsite training to help you grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• No visa sponsorship; must be 18+.
• Experience in care or catering is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef and kitchen team with basic preparation of meals, snacks and drinks.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Support residents to enjoy their dining experience with every meal.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic.
• Wash cooking appliances and crockery and sanitise preparation areas.
