Job summary

CARE SOUTH is seeking a kitchen support role to assist in preparing fresh meals, snacks and drinks for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met. You will help maintain cleanliness and sanitise areas in line with food safety regulations, while supporting residents to enjoy their dining experience during meals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous care or catering experience is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to support residents during mealtimes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef and kitchen team with basic preparation of meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
• Assist residents to enjoy their dining experience with every meal.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic.
• Wash cooking appliances and crockery; sanitise food preparation areas.
