Aurem Care is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our warm care home team in Sevenoaks, UK. You will help run the kitchen smoothly, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant dining experience for residents.

Key duties include maintaining hygiene, assisting with food service, and supporting the kitchen team. We offer competitive hourly pay and flexible bank shifts with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are required.
• Proactive, reliable and able to prioritise tasks while showing care towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with COSHH guidelines.
• Wash up and care for kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen surfaces, floors and follow dishwasher schedule.
• Prepare and set up tea trolleys throughout the day.
• Assist with serving food and support residents as needed.
• Clear food trays and keep dining areas tidy.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal.
• Lay tables in the dining room.
• Prepare and serve drinks and refreshments for visitors.
