Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen in a warm care home setting. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant dining experience for residents, taking part in serving meals, maintaining hygiene, and assisting with general kitchen duties throughout the day.

The role offers flexible bank shifts across weekdays and weekends, with £12.71 per hour and benefits including DBS, parking, pension, wellbeing support, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Assistant is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, reliable and able to prioritise tasks.
• Caring and respectful approach around residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash up and care for kitchen equipment.
• Clean surfaces, floors and follow dishwasher schedule.
• Prepare and set up tea trolleys.
