Job summary

Prime Life is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Phoenix Park Care Village in Scunthorpe. This part-time role (26.25 hours/week) involves preparing meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met, and maintaining a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

You will work with a dedicated team, benefit from DBS funding, holiday pay, and a refer-a-friend scheme. Training support is available to help you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or chef preferred.
• Food hygiene/catering qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages according to residents' dietary needs.
• Perform quality checks on food and storage.
• Assist with dining service to provide a dignified meal experience for residents.
• Maintain stock records and assist with ordering.
• Keep kitchen hygienic and support with deep cleaning tasks.
